Necessary system upgrade to City's e-Services today

Cape Town residents are advised that the City’s billing and notification system (SAP) will be offline for necessary upgrades from 12:00 to 14:00 on Friday, 13 November 2020. This will impact online motor vehicle renewals, municipal account enquiries, applications for rates rebates and indigent benefits, applications for debt payment arrangements, service requests (C3 notifications) and the online submission of building plans and land use applications among others. The City’s e-Services will not be available and it will affect online transactions and the submission of development applications. Conveyancing attorneys will also be unable to process online rates clearance certificates.
The upgrade to the system is required and is being done today between 12:00 and 14:00 to limit the impact on customers as much as possible.
There will be some services that the City will be offering manually at the customer care walk-in offices during this time. Customers will be able to make payments and they will also be able to be reconnected if acceptable payment has been made. It is important that they bring their municipal invoice to avoid delays.

- Conveyancing
- E-billing
- Identity document uploads
- Informal trader bay applications
- Land use and building plan applications (DAMS)
- Motor vehicle licence renewals
- Municipal accounts
- Pet registration
- Report a fault or request a service
- Supplier Self-service
- Tax clearance certificates
